When Rosie contacted me about booking a branding shoot for her recruitment business, Mployable, I instantly knew it was going to be an exciting project to work on. An experienced recruiter and business partner, Rosie has developed a fresh and innovative take on the traditional recruitment agency service, providing outsourced recruitment on subscription delivered to clients with a personalised, in-house approach.
As team Mployable embarked on an exciting rebrand, with Somerset Design Studio looking after the new website and brand design which will be launching soon, we created a modern and stylish branding shoot for Rosie that was completely tailored to her business to tie in with a fresh new brand identity. Every detail was thoughtfully planned to ensure Rosie’s collection of brand imagery reflected her modern business, from choosing a versatile location to choosing the perfect branded props.

Tell us about your business
We are a recruitment as a service business - not a traditional recruitment agency - and we work with our clients as their 'outsourced in-house recruitment team'. A fresh new take on outsourcing recruitment.
What were your main reasons to invest in a branding shoot?
We have recently rebranded and are in the process of creating a new website. It felt like the right time to update our imagery to reflect the new brand and help differentiate ourselves in our industry.
What advice/tips would you give to other businesses planning a branding shoot?
Take plenty of time to plan ahead, and buy props and any outfits in advance, so you can be comfortable on the day. We found it really pulled the images together, having props in our branding colours and neutral clothing. Location is also important - since seeing the images, it's made such a difference having an interesting and unique backdrop.
Please tell us about your shoot - the location, style of images etc
We wanted fresh, light and modern photography - so Ellie helped us find a rustic office/events space in Bristol for the shoot with plenty of natural light and interesting nooks and crannies. We wanted something to reflect our new brand and our personality as a business - something that would make our website and social media pop - so we went with lots of branded props, and an office-style setup.
How has your branding shoot benefited your business?
We've only 'teased' some of the images as the big reveal will be with the new website, which isn't quite ready yet, but when we've shared images on social media the reaction has been fantastic. I finally feel that we have images that reflect our business and the modern brand we are trying to build.
